Idearace – a business idea competition – has become one of the most significant events in South Karelia, showcasing the most innovative business ideas of students, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals to a wide audience. Each year, around 40 bold teams step forward with their ideas, and only the best are ultimately selected for the final. In previous years, more than 1,700 enthusiastic audience members have attended the final event, where the finalists present their ideas.

The teams selected for the final will practice presenting and pitching at the Idearace Bootcamp before the final event.

Idearace will be held on 23.4.2026 at the Lappeenranta City Theatre. 10 teams will compete in the final with their ideas.
